At Dutch Mill Supply, we pride ourselves in providing professional service from the guy next door. To us, this means we treat all of our customers like friends and neighbors. It’s the way we’ve done business since Ken Uitermarkt opened our doors in 1979.

Today, Dutch Mill Supply is owned by Josh Payne, who worked at Dutch Mill Supply for about six years before officially taking over as owner in 2009. Everyone on our staff has experience in one facet or another of the construction industry. Our delivery drivers have been with us for several years and have the necessary logistical knowledge to be where they need to be when they need to be there.  You get service from guys who know, ready to help you meet all your construction needs.

In recent years, we have increased our focus on becoming a preferred building supplies partner for residential builders in and around Pella. We continue to specialize in pole barn construction, as well as other pole-built and laminated, column-structured commercial and agricultural buildings throughout south-central Iowa. We are also a roofing contractor who can coordinate crews for both roofing and building projects.

Dutch Mill Supply has completed a multitude of projects both close to home and as far away as 75 miles, including the Pella, Oskaloosa, Ottumwa, Knoxville, Newton, Grinnell, Montezuma, Chariton, and Indianola communities. We have experience working with a range of budgets, and our completed buildings serve a variety of purposes.
